Alexander Foster for Essex Register of Voters

Alexander Foster is running for Registrar of Voters in Essex.  He is nineteen years old and an active member of the Shoreline Green Party.

He has taken college courses in computer science and is familiar with Windows Office and Excel. Like most people his age, he is comfortable with technology. He enjoys working with a team and with the public.

Alexander is currently a student at Middlesex Community College, majoring in both Engineering and Mathematics. He was recently elected for the second time to the position of Secretary of the college’s chapter of Phi Theta Kappa honor society. He is active with the Math Club.

If elected, Alexander wants to look into conducting outreach education to high school seniors regarding how to vote while in residence at college. He would also like to facilitate on-site registration drives for high school students.

Alexander represents the third generation of politically active Fosters. His grandfather, Patrick, served as a Montville Selectman; his grandmother, Marchita, served over thirty years first as  Assistant Registrar of Voters, and the Registrar. His father, Keith, was on Montville’s Zoning Board of Appeals and is now active with the Shoreline Green Party in Essex.

Alexander is running a Low Impact Campaign. He will not be using any funds*, including his own, nor will he be using plastic or paper to promote himself. You will not see his name on plastic campaign signs. You will not receive a postcard in the mail. He will not hand out flyers.

What you will see is Alexander talking to Essex residents. He uses public transportation to get to his college classes, so you will see him waiting for the 9 Town Transit bus in the mornings. You will see him shopping locally and at the Ivoryton Farmer’s Market. He is a Community Supported Agriculture member of a local farm and always looks forward to a fresh tomato sandwich.
