Full disclosure: Yes I’m a Bernie supporter. I haven’t given up on Bernie yet, especially with how inept Biden is looking, but I’m curious about Howie’s plan to unite the various leftist parties just in case.

I’ve read the plan, but it sounds to me like similar efforts to do something similar in the past. However it may just be ignorance on my behalf.

I’m a huge fan of having a “people’s party”, and I do understand Howie needs to win the primary first (as far as I understand it Dario is not on board?)

My main questions are:

  • How does Howie’s plan differ from other attempts?

  • How many of the leftist parties have actually signed on to his plan? How big of a coalition are we looking at in comparison to our two corporate parties?

  • Assuming it succeeds, what’s a realistic timeline for this new party/coallition to actually have enough power to affect change?

  • Any idea how the green party planning on collecting signatures for ballot access in the middle of this pandemic?

Thanks in advance!
